East Wing Surgery

Our Practice is highly patient focused and we have a multidisciplinary approach to patients’ health care. We aim to deliver the best for our patients by combining the skills of the practice team with other health and social care workers in the community.

We provide modern health care facilities and focus on continually improving the health of our patients and residents of the community.

Our practice is located within Palmer Community Hospital (on the first floor) with car parking available.  There are also designated disabled parking bays.  We are conveniently located within walking distance of both Jarrow bus and metro station.  The building and our practice accommodate for disabled access.

This website is aimed at providing you the important information about our practice, and our staff in addition to some other useful information and tools available for you to use. About Us

The Practice of Drs Zaidi, Salaudeen and Pillay is based within Palmer Community Hospital, Jarrow, on the western edge of South Tyneside Primary Care Trust. Jarrow is a 15 minute drive away from both the Coast and the City of Newcastle upon Tyne, with good links to public transport. Our patient list size is approx 3900.

The modern practice premises were purpose built in 2003, providing a self-contained unit within the hospital. The Practice had been operating under PMS for a number of years and changed to GMS in April 2015.

The Practice is fully computerised, with networked PCs in each consulting room and has paper light status. The computer system is EMIS WEB. We have path lab links which are received electronically and everyone has access to the NHS Net and the Internet. We are connected to the North East Primary Care Services Agency via GP Links.

The practice covers the Jarrow and Hebburn area.
