Appointments can be made either by telephone or by calling in at the reception desk. You can either book an urgent on the day appointment (if available) or a pre-bookable appointment.
You can also now book appointments via the internet.
(A limited number of appointments are available)
If you wish to register for this service, you will need to attend the surgery with some positive identification, e.g. photo driving licence, passport etc. ( please contact reception for details of suitable identification). You will be given access details at the time of your visit. Please then register within 2 weeks.
Also in line with our Patient Participation Group, the number of GP pre-bookable appointments have decreased and the number of GP open on the day increased.
You are able to book an appointment up to three weeks in advance, which was agreed with our Patient Participation Group (previously bookable four weeks in advance) to try and reduce the number of ‘did not attends’.
Patients can request telephone appointments on the day as well as a limited number of pre-bookable telephone appointments available. If you feel your problem can be discussed over the telephone, contact reception, the reception team will advise you as to when you can expect a doctor to contact you.
We always try to minimise the waiting time for you and, whilst we try to see you at the appointed time, some patients’ appointments may take longer than the time allocated, so please be patient if there is some delay.
If you are unable to attend your appointment for any reason, please contact the surgery to cancel it in order for it to be utilised by another patient in need. The practice operates a ‘do not attend policy’ and the details of this are available on our website.
We will also try to give you an appointment with the doctor that you prefer, but it may not always be possible.
